Yesterday evening, going back home , I was on a 'Kopaja' microbus when a bunch of junior high school boys/girls got on board also....
the driver assistant a.k.a. 'Kenek' shouted that they positioned themselves properly inside the micro bus, so we can have more person aboard
...as the old saying goes: the more the merrier :(
When the Kenek addressed the boys as "Entong" which normally used to address small boys, I instead heard "Er Tong", which in chinese have similar meaning i.e. children of primary school age.
May be there is something wrong with my ears or my brain .....
But is "Entong" really derived from Chinese word "Er Tong"........ who cares :D
